![]() ![]() When you do have a fix for a certain song you have to go scrolling endlessly and narrow your search using the a-z or album sorting functions, which is still impossible if you have big library. It makes it difficult to pull certain songs from your library. ![]() When you do search you’re looking at the whole online catalog of music. Not to mention the search function on Audrivana was useless-you can’t search through your own streaming library. I quickly realized that my computer wasn’t capable of handling the processing required for some upsampling-there was also a noticeable drop in fidelity when I attempted to do this. I initially purchased the app to benefit from the remote ability, the up sampling option, and what I thought was better music organization on the app compared to tidal. The remote app purchase isn’t worth it if you’re only playing music from one streaming service and if that music streaming service happens to be Tidal. ![]() I love how you can control more settings in it. For example, searching Zöe Keating will sometimes make the app crash. Make Roon pay.FIXED: Still a little glitchy at times. I wish I could just have one playlist for this. I have both Tidal and Qobuz and when something isn’t on Qobuz, I’ll use Tidal. The only thing I think Audirvana needs is the ability to make a playlist from multiple sources. As my previous review said, make Roon pay!Previous review:The search has improved greatly overall. Also, everything seems to load much quicker (playlists and search results) with the updated versions of the remote. This would make things so much easier overall. One additional request is to have the Remote be recognized by iPhones/iPads as a music player so that I can change the track, pause the music, or even open the app from my home screen. Since the last review I placed here things are running smoothly. This remote app makes the system quite complete. I’m still considering getting the Roon Nuclear+ to have a dedicated music server/streamer, but I’m quite happy with Audirvana playing my local library in the MBP and Qobuz so I really don’t see the need for it - not yet, at least. Being able to sit far away from the display and control the Mac app really completes the MBP as the center of my audiophile music system. This remote app for Audirvana is really great. My headphones are an Audeze LCD-4 and RAAL-requisite SR1a so I’m a fairly serious audiophile although by no means extreme. Qobuz on its own sounds great but does sound even better through Audirvana on my MBP which is connected to Chord Electronics Hugo upsampling M-Scaler, Hugo TT2 DAC/preamp and headphone amp and TToby power amp driving Buchardt S400 speakers. I had been a holdout as I refuse to listen to anything less than lossless CD-quality tracks. Then, several months ago, I finally jumped on the streaming bandwagon with Qobuz. It sounds so much better than Apple’s stock Music app. Audirvana has been a big revelation in terms of how I listen to my music library. ![]()
